Summer Is Time To Simplify Life

 Do you fall into bed at night feeling further behind on your to do list than when the day began?

Do you wake up already too tired to even think about your day? You are in luck! Now is the perfect time to take a breath, a step back and simplify your life. In this fast paced world, it seems impossible to simplify our lives. But have you ever considered how much time and energy you waste on the unnecessary? How much energy do you waste telling yourself all the things you should do? How much energy do you waste looking for stuff? We create complicated lives. The good news is that we can create simple lives too. This week I’ll share  five signs you need to simplify your life and strategies to get there.

1. Your closets and cabinets are overflowing.

Strategy: Remove clutter.

The definition of clutter is stuff without a home. Is your homeless stuff driving you crazy? First, make the decision you are done with homeless stuff. My favorite de-clutter game I play is the “Declutter Ten Game”. Take a paper bag and take 10 items out of your closet or cabinet. If the drawer still bothers you do it again. The question that helps me is Do I love space or stuff more? Space or stuff?  You decide! PS stay out of stores.

2.  A minor setback like flat tire has you yelling or in tears.

Strategy:  Look at your core beliefs.

What are your core beliefs? Do you have a belief that the only way to make money is work really, really hard? Do you have the belief that you need to be busy so you fill your day with tasks that may not be as important as you think? Drop your limiting beliefs and you will gain your time and energy back.
