How my friend dumped her worldly possessions to see the world

Last Halloween my dear friend Jessica Lyman and her husband Tom sold everything they owned, with no storage except for tax records at her oldest son’s home, to travel the world for years to come.

This summer in Tuscany, Jessica realized she needed to pack even more lightly. This shows all the clothes Jessica owns except for 6 pairs of shoes.

Since leaving Minnesota last Halloween, they’ve lived in Scottsdale, AZ, Henderson, Nevada; Belize; Dubai, UAE; Tuscany, Italy; and now in Diani Beach, Kenya for 3 months including 8 cruises including the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Panama Canal and the Middle East .

At the end of November, they’ll be moving to Marloth Park, living among the animals, on the edge of Kruger Park, South Africa for 3 additional months, finishing their tour of Africa with 2 1/2 months living in Marrakesh, Morocco.  Their journey continues from there as they add on new locations every few months.

Reducing stress in their lives was the primary reason for planning this year’s long adventure.  De-cluttering their lives gave them the freedom they longed to achieve.

Currently, they are completing their first safari in the Masai Mara in Kenya.  For photos and the story of how they accomplished this monumental task, and their amazing adventures their first year traveling the world, please visit their website at www.WorldWideWaftage.com.
