The True Secret of Happiness
Life is not about the biggest joys that count the most, it’s making a great deal out of the little ones.
I’ve discovered the true secret of happiness, is to live in the moment. Forget the regretting the past or worrying about the future, but to squeeze the most you can out of this very moment.
Repeat after me: Starting today, I vow to enjoy every second, and I’m going to know I’m enjoying it while I’m enjoying it.
Most people I know are racing around trying to reach their next goal. They “hit” the goal and don’t even realize it because they are already working on their next goal. They lose sight of the beauty and joy in the moment. Remember, the present is the moment of choice, where we can actually change course. Time is never wasted, it is only spent! Spend it wisely! You have one life to live, just imagine it was one you loved! How do you live in the moment?

I always used to see red cardinals in my garden out my kitchen sink. And tell the kids. “I see God.” I always saw the most of them on Sundays. One time Brett asked me, “Do you think you see red cardinals on Sunday’s mom because that is the only day you really stop and stand by the kitchen sinking?” I bet he is right!
What signs help you live in the present?
