  1. The present moment is the moment of choice, where we can actually change course.
  2. The present helps us to find serenity to accept things we cannot change; to accept them and not waste energy on trying to change or fix them.
  3. Our five senses connect us with the present and God’s beauty.
  4. The present is the ONLY time we have. You can wait to live in the future but when it comes it will be your present.
  5. Remember, time is never wasted, it only spent.

“I met Chere at a food and nutrition conference, and was instantly won over with her charming personality, uplifting attitude and sunny disposition. She has helped me get my business up and running, set goals and accomplish them, overcome barriers (both personal and professional) and coached me into becoming the person I am supposed to be. I am extremely grateful for my time with Chere. She is a delight to have in my life and I highly recommend her to anyone. Thanks again for everything!” Laura

Chere’s note: We focused on Laura’s passions and what she is great at. This energized her so it didn’t feel like work to get her business up and running. This energy gave her confidence in her decisions so starting a business was not overwhelming anymore.

Quit waiting to be happy and healthy and call me today 952 937 5697 to set up your 30 min energy coaching session before the busy holidays. Maybe the BEST gift you can give yourself.

The vase of tulips last week brought us the hope of spring into summer. All was “perfect” until the tulips started to droop over the vase in random fashion. The tulips went from perfect to un-perfect. As I was taking a picture of the vase, Brett said, “Get rid of that one droopy one.” The flower wasn’t dead it just had a mind of it’s own. I stopped and realized the tulips represented my “old” and “new” life. And I actually liked the random tulip arrangement better; my new life.

We live in a world of get it done yesterdays, filled with giant to-do-lists and worse yet, other people’s expectations. And to top it off, we need to do it all just perfect. Perfectionism can inspire us to be our best or create a sense of poor self-esteem that we never measure up or are good enough. I sometimes think it should be illegal.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Are these tulips perfect or imperfect?

Are you a Perfectionist?

If you answer “yes” to three or more of these questions, perfectionism may be negatively affecting your life.

  1. Do you spend too much time trying to get things “just right?”
  2. Does taking time off to rest, relax, or have fun make you feel guilty that you can’t enjoy yourself?
  3. Do you have trouble making decisions, laboring over details until you reach the point of exhaustion?
  4. Would our friends or others choose to call you a control freak?
  5. Do you have a hard time accepting help or delegating because you’re convinced that no one can do something as well as you can?
  6. Do you often feel afraid that you’ll never live up to the standards you imagine others set for you?
  7. Do you often procrastinate on completing tasks because of the pressure you feel to do them perfectly?

Once you make this sauce you will want to eat it with a spoon! I did!!

What do California Raisins, balsamic vinegar and butter make? Heaven!

If you are looking for a quick easy recipe to help you eat more fruits and veggies, try this sauce over asparagus.

  • Black pepper; to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Where is Chere savoring life?

Savoring is a quality that happy people naturally have in abundance.

Savoring = to mindfully engage in thoughts or behaviors that heighten the effect of positive events on positive feelings. There are 3 temporal forms of Savoring: (1) Anticipatory (2) In the Moment and (3) Reminiscent. We can savor a positive event before it happens by getting excited in preparation for it, we can savor the positive event as it event as it occurs and we can savor a positive event by remembering it. What are you savoring today?

My godchild Natalie Gasser got confirmed
by Bishop Morlino. The service was two hours
long, however Bishop Morlino’s charisma and
humor made it feel like the length of a mass.

Natalie picked the Ginza restaurant
in the Wisconsin Dells to
celebrate her confirmation.
