5 ACTIONS TO TAKE BEFORE NEW YEARS EVE IF YOU WANT TO LOVE YOUR LIFE
Focus on one to three changes at a time.
A great idea is to create an intention for your personal SELF, your work and your home life.
Write your intentions down and post them on your bathroom mirror.
Write in the present tense what you want.
I am in a loving relationship. I am working in a job that soars my spirit and puts big bucks in my wallet. I have ME time every Saturday for 4 hours.
Tell 2 people.
The University of Nevada Reno did a study that showed that people who published their goals did significantly better than those who didnt. Not to say you wont keep private promises. Send me an email. I will hold your intention.
Create your environment to support your goal.
Could I tell you want a healthier weight when I peek in your fridge?
Celebrate the small changes.
My motto is work hard and play harder. You cleaned your office, go to a movie.
Reward yourself with a new CD if you made it to exercise class. Never wait to give yourself a party. As my friend Jane Price has always said, Life is shorter than you think!

Chere-I think I have told you before that I really enjoy your online newsletter and this was another home run issue. The 5 ACTIONS TO TAKE BEFORE NEW YEAR'S EVE list was just terrific. I am going to make myself do everything as directed on the list to end 2009 on a positive, cleansing note and start 2010 with a less addled brain!!
I know that one of my most gratifying parts of owning Lillians is meeting all of the fabulous women that come into the store and I appreciate everything that they bring to my life. Thank you for being one of them!

Chere! This year I toasted the New Year watching the Blue Moon rise over the Pincushion Mountain in Grand Marais. As midnight struck, the moonbeam light a path on Lake Superior to our doorstep. It was a magical way to usher in 2010, with the power of Lake Superior and the Blue Moon.
I did my vision board when we first worked the Law of Attraction 5 steps you had in one of your ezines. That vision board focused on a new job and income. Almost every day I would search on Craig's List (proactive) and didn't become complacent. I would pick-up applications at retail stores for seasonal work even if I really didn't want them (proactive) for the practice of applying. I got very realistic and accepted that I actually needed an extra job. I let go of the past and got very in the present. No denial. I am pleased to report I accepted a part time job 5 mins from my other job. I am very happy and grateful! Loving me day today...freedom...errands on my time. Thanks Chere for all!
Hi Chere. I loved the article on Waiting to Live and the pictures from your trip. Everything you wrote is so true. Most of life is right foot, left foot with peaks and valleys along the way. Ever since my job situation changed and my negative reaction to it was having an effect on my life, I decided I didnt want to live like that. Since life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it, I decided to look at each day from a positive perspective which has made all the difference in the world. You helped me do that with your encouraging words.

TASTE LIFE BALANCE RECIPE OF THE MONTH
Grandma Adys Spaghetti Chili
Everyone has their favorite chili recipe. And there seems to be a debate if chili has noodles in it or not. Growing up in Milwaukee, chili was ONLY meat, beans, celery and onions. If you put noodles in anything it was called casserole. In Minnesota when you put noodles in anything its called hot dish. Danielle adores Grandma Adys chili. She was out of town recently so we surprised her with Gram Adys chili when she came home.
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, diced
3/4 cup celery, diced
3/4 cup green pepper, diced
1 10.75 ounce can tomato soup
1 15 ounce can kidney beans, drained
1 46 ounce can tomato juice
Spaghetti noodles circumference the size of a quarter
Chili powder to taste
Salt and pepper to taste
Brown the meat. Cook the celery, onion and green pepper in a few tablespoons water in the microwave until soft. Drain and add to meat. Add juice, soup and kidney beans.
Simmer. Break spaghetti noodles into thirds and boil until tender. Add to chili. Season to taste with the chili powder, salt and pepper.
Serve with cut up fresh fruit and popovers!
Cheres version: ground turkey, 3 stalks celery, 1 green pepper, whole wheat noodles and lots and lots of chili powder. Sauté ground turkey. Rinse and add the celery, green pepper and onion to sauté pan. Sauté until tender. Add the rest of the chili ingredients.
