Celebrating National Hot Breakfast Month with 5 Yummy Healthy Recipes to Start your Day
Rise and shine it’s breakfast time! Just in time for National Hot Breakfast Month, my amazing Dietitian Nutritionist friends have created these yummy healthy starts to your day!
Jennifer Hunt, RDN, LD owner of Healthy Inspirations
High Protein Chocolate Banana Breakfast Quinoa
Rich and creamy, this chocolate quinoa is a sweet way to fill up in the morning with a nice boost of protein and fiber to keep you full for hours. Did you know quinoa has a specific type of fiber called resistant starch that feeds healthy bacteria in your gut? Quinoa is a seed that is loaded with nutrition. Because it is not a grain, it is gluten free. Its nutty flavor makes it a great addition to both savory and sweet dishes. Looks delish Jennifer!

Overnight Oats
Lynda loves recipes that help her clients heal their guts. Overnight oats are totally genius as you prep them the night before and they steep while you sleep. Wake up to a healthy delish ready to eat creamy bowl of oatmeal! What’s not to love! Thank you Lynda! @LyndaEnright
Oatmeal Buttermilk Pancakes with Blueberry Chia Sauce
This recipe is a delicious healthy twist on pancakes that kids and adults love! It’s wonderful to wake up and have the batter already prepared. Judes say you can sub kefir for the buttermilk. To max your deliciousness top with Judes Blueberry Chia Sauce! These pancake beauties are her husband Don’s favorite breakfast! Substitute gluten free oatmeal and flour to make these cakes gluten free. Thanks Judes! @FoodsWithJudes
Double Chai Banana Muffins with Chai Glaze
Julia loves these tasty muffins because they’ve got a double dose of chai spice, both in the batter, and then on top with the yummy glaze. It’s a chai lover’s dream! For gluten free Julia recommends Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free All Purpose Flour or Cup4Cup Gluten Free Flour
Thanks Julia! @jugglingjuliaRD
Jen loves this egg cooker – it’s perfect for busy mornings (like all moms have). Can make a quick breakfast for the kids in it, but also a quick breakfast for mom too – to take on the go or eat after the kids have gone to school. Jen loves making the omelet in her egg cooker and has lots of other recipes and videos using the egg cooker. Homemade eggs, instant oatmeal, or a fresh muffin that you can eat right out of the container! Thank you Jen for making mornings easy as pie! @jenhaugen
