Celebrate May Osteoporosis Awareness Month with a Mango Madness Smoothie

May is Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention Month.  We need milk for bone health. Milk is the primary source of vitamin D in the American diet – well known for its role in keeping bones strong – and milk supplies nearly half of all of the much-needed vitamin D. Research shows boosting calcium intake by drinking milk could reduce chance the risk of bone fractures by 72 percent, according to one study.

This tasty smoothie with whole grains, almond butter and dairy could be a “stand alone” breakfast.
