I love my life! I don’t have a job; I have a passion and a purpose to share my “recipe” for health and happiness with RDNs and others, so they can enjoy a successful career—and get down to the seriously fun business of living an abundant life.
These are the Five Ingredients You Need to Live a Life You Love
Food has been a special part of my life since childhood. I grew up in a big Polish catholic family that looked forward to making meals together and singing songs while doing the dishes. When I was 16, my first job as a dietary aide piqued my interest in working with food professionally. I later earned a BS in dietetics and MS in adult education, with a concentration in nutrition, as well as a number of professional certifications and licenses, including Certified WellCoach®.
I worked for more than thirty years as an RDN, and loved serving as the president of Nutrition Entrepreneurs, a dietetic practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Around 2000, I realized that in my one-on-one nutrition counseling work with clients, their issues stemmed not from what they were eating, but what was eating them. I also realized I spent more time helping them uncover self-sabotaging beliefs and habits than working on their nutrition.
Additionally, I learned so much through my own journey of starting a business that I wanted to help other dietitians grow their businesses faster, easier, and with fewer bumps along the way. So I went back to school, this time to become a life coach, and later a Certified Law of Attraction Facilitator and coach.
I thrive on the challenge of coaching and serving as a guest speaker for busy, successful people who are tired of living a life that doesn’t match their vision or inner vibrancy. They may feel stuck; out of balance; underpaid or underappreciated; unable to stop overanalyzing, worrying, or getting in their own way; unable to let go of the illusion of perfection; or unable to make decisions. They may have put their life or career on hold for years in order to care for their families, or they may simply be afraid of making a big change. But they know there’s more to life than punching a clock.
I believe that knowing your purpose creates energy and happiness, which are the keys to living a healthy, balanced, authentic life. When we listen to ourselves, understand our skills and talents, know when to ask for support, and tap into the joyfulness of living, the obstacles we’ve created fall away. We become better listeners and more effective communicators.
Let me help you uncover your passion and purpose, your energy drainers and energy chargers, your satisfaction and rewards. A memorable life—full of success and sizzle—is waiting for you.
