Positive Thinking Is Contagious

Gary and I met lots of interesting people when we were traveling and exploring the California coast. Sharae, who we met in Santa Rosa, California stands out. Her positivity was contagious.

Sharae says, “When you deal with nice people you don’t need coffee.”
I would love to hang out with Sharae again over a cup of coffee!

She is right. Positive thinking is contagious and it rubs off. I know it sounds simple, but it works. Negative attitudes are draining and they rub off too. What to do?

Susan Hannaly, RN, CCDS whom I met at a presentation I gave for Medtronic’s Paceart University has this strategy. When someone is being negative she thinks to herself,  “Thanks for sharing” and then she mentally flicks the remote control to something else.

  1. Yes, Chere. Thanks for the reminder of not hanging around with negative people. Sometimes I can even feel their anger or negativity in their faces or bodies, and it’s a sign to stay away. Nancy

    1. Thanks for writing Nancy! We become the sum of the top five people we hang with.
Some people are shining examples and others are warnings!
      Cheerfully Chere
