5 Tips to Manage your Papers
January is a great time of year to organize your papers.
- Monthly Receipt File
Store receipts are filed by month. There are also categories for Gary’s check stubs, water, electric and garbage bills, credit card bills, bank deposit receipts and ATM slips
At the end of the year these are transferred into a shoe box and dated with the year and stored in the attic. - Warranties Brown Accordion Folder
All warranties and direction books and major receipts are filed alphabetically. Occasionally when the folder gets too big we discard old warranties. - Home Record Book
Every room has a page with a record of the date purchased, item and any model numbers or important information. Paint samples, and business cards are stapled to the page for future reference. - Business Expense Record
Date, Description, Vendor, Check Number, Amount, Cash and Credit are recorded. Receipts are numbered and attached to that month file. Email Chere for a copy. - Tax Folder
File folder kept with page for donations to charities. Date, Charity, Check number and amount. Also kept in this file are property taxes, tax forms, mortgage information.
