15 Ideas to Deliver a Memorable Presentation
- Grab your audience in the first two or three minutes with a compelling question, interesting fact of funny story. I like stories the best.
- Break your hour into quarters and for every 15 minutes have a story, message and call to action.

- Stories make a good talk a great talk. People remember your message if you evoke emotion with a story.
- Memorize your first opening and then your session close. Then go back and memorize again.
- Type up your opening, (double spaced and large font) and memorize and take with you to the platform. Be able to say your opening backwards and forwards.
- The night before your talk review your presentation in your bed. Magically you will dream about your words and the become part of you. Try this it works.
- Have your notes handy on the platform, but don’t use them unless you get stage struck.
- Practice in front of a mirror. Notice not only your words but also your face and smile more than you think you need to.
- Ask your friend or family member if you can deliver your talk to them. Ask for feedback.
- The more you practice out loud the more you will remember. Really practice the beginning and the ending the most.
- Run through the power point the evening before your talk at least three times out loud.
- Have an outline of your key points and the timing by you. Example: Introduction 8 am – 8:10 am
- Think about what your audience to feel?
- Think about what you want your audience to do after you talk?
- Create a call to action for future business.
