5 TIPS TO GET HOPE BACK IN YOUR LIFE
- Focus on abundance on your life blessings at home, work and play.
- Take action and establish 5 daily positive energy rituals like getting 8 hours of sleep a night, moving your body, writing gratitudes, eating breakfast, calling a friend or family member every day etc.
- Focus on the future forward instead of the done yesterday Notice where you live..are you living in yesterday, today or tomorrow?
- Practice gratitude. When you notice yourself slipping into fear mode, ask yourself, What is good right now today?
- When you notice yourself really slipping into fear mode
the big time fear mode, move your body immediately. Take a walk, or walk up a flight of stairs. Exercise makes you feel good by causing a release of endorphins which make you feel happier, enhance your immune system, relieve pain and stress. How can you NOT move your body? Plus it is free
and free is good in these amazing economic times!

TASTE LIFE BALANCE RECIPE OF THE MONTH
Lindas Quick Chicken Dinner
Linda Beduhn, my jewelry designer, www.beads2treasure.com, and a small business owner, has a busy life with three active kids and a husband who also owns a business, www.lakesidepainters.com. She is quite the cook, and is always on the lookout for fast, healthy recipes for her family. She created this for Sunday dinner. Even her son Brady had two helpings!
Just like Linda, you are in charge of creating a healthy home environment for your kids. This recipe is bursting with nutrients and flavor. Give it a try!
1 Rotisserie chicken, shredded
1 Bunch broccoli, cut into bite-size pieces
3 to 4 cups cooked brown rice
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Juice of 1 lime
Sauté broccoli in 1 Tbsp olive oil till crisp tender. Add shredded chicken and cooked brown rice. Heat until hot and then toss rice mixture with chopped cilantro and lime juice. Serve immediately.
Linda served with fresh fruit for dessert. Yeah Linda!
WAKE UP TO HOPE
My husband thinks Stage Four means the end. Im not going to lie down and quit. I feel great. No one is going to undermine my efforts by worrying about Stage Four. It uses my energy. God has given me another wake up call and this time I am awake. My heart ached as I heard my coaching client whisper these words. This is her fourth bout of cancer and unfortunately it is back again. But she beat it three times before.
For the past 8 years, I have shared the joys, blessings and tribulations with over 500 people as I share their life journey as their partner and life coach. And, after this coaching call this week, I have decided there are two kinds of people: people who live in hope and people who live in fear. People living in fear worry, worry, worry and seem to be stuck in inaction. Much of our time and energy is connected to what we think and think ABOUT.
Two weeks ago, I was feeling sad and overwhelmed about the number of layoffs and the economy. I started talking to Gary about it. He said, You read the business section of the paper again didnt you? I quit reading that section a long time ago; it didnt help my life. Since then I have stopped reading the major depression recession headlines and have noticed my spirits energized again.
I believe worry is one of the building blocks of fear. Worry is really a misuse of our time and our energy and grand imagination. If there is something to be done, then do it, if not accept the situation or choose to do something differently to remove yourself from the situation. Taking actions puts you in control. And, each one of us just wants to be in control. Simple as that!
Your thoughts create your life. Darn! The trick is to live in the moment and focus on what you are in charge of. A great example is Mark Lewis, who works in the financial industry. We were talking about the bgillion dollars he and his clients have lost. Mark states, I choose to live a great life no matter what is going on around me. Every day I can still tell my wife how much I love her and how beautiful she is. The trick is to live in the moment and savor each precious minute. Mark and other coaching clients have established daily positive energy rituals that focus on what they can control and what they are in charge of. One of those is telling his bride how happy he is to be married to her. Simple? Yes! Life is too short to worry it away and live in fear.
Your future has not happened yet you have a choice. Remember nothing lasts forever not even your worries. Call to Action: Self talk I will choose hope over fear and focus on what is wonderful and abundant in my life. Hope looks forward. Wake up to hope so you can move forward into your abundant purposeful life.
