5 STEPS TO ALLOWING LUCK IN YOUR LIFE

  1. Know what you want.
  2. Notice your thoughts…are they focused on what you want or what you don’t want?
Every minute you invest your thoughts about what you don’t want, you are creating exactly that.
  3. Remove doubt. Focus on the want and “how” will naturally happen.
  4. Give what you want, energy, focus and attention (collage, sign, I statement like I will have…).
  5. Allow it to happen.

CHERECOACH QUESTIONS THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE

Do I know what I want? How will I remove all doubt and allow it to happen?

Since 1999 I have had a hard time describing what transpires during a coaching session. Coaching is an experiential process as well as an intellectual one. Talking about coaching isn't the same thing as being coached. Click here or call me at 952.937.5697 to reserve your complimentary, no obligation, 30-minute Coaching Session. If you are ready to take action towards obtaining the life you really want this is your first step.

Experience coaching first hand and create an action plan that will help you move forward with your goals and dreams. I guarantee one tip, tool, question or strategy that will give you more energy, balance, focus, happiness or health.

Many clients and subscribers wrote about how lucky they are after the last TASTE LIFE issue on creating luck.

MAGIC M , A COACHING CLIENT WRITES:

“I think that I really started seeing the 'luck' come into my life when I took that first step away from fear and worry. I really think it was when I put myself on there (being the real ME- key ingredient)- that is when I saw the real change in my life. There is no way I would be making this awesome transition from engineer to THE Physics teacher if I stayed in the path of my fear and worry (I think worrying for me is how I 'deal' with fear, if that makes sense). :o) As I have said before, my life is better than my dreams!!!”
—Magic M

CRISTA HOFF , A TASTE LIFE SUBSCRIBER WRITES:

“In case you didn’t know, Mary Kay Ash opened the doors Mary Kay Cosmetics on Friday, September 13th, 1963. Just thought I’d share!!! We have Lucky 13 Contests in MK all the time – right on with your newsletter – thx for speaking out against all those superstitious (negative) people in this world! Thanks, beautiful lady!!!”
—Crista Hoff, Independent Sales Director, www.cristamk.com

MARVELOUS MAUREEN, A TASTE LIFE SUBSCRIBER WRITES:

“It was time to go home from work, and I thought I'd read it (June Taste Life Ezine) quickly then head out. I read through the recipe for grilled vegetables and imagined how yummy they would taste, especially since I was hungry. But alas, the gym awaited me and no food in the office. Too bad. I decided to quickly go to the kitchen area to fill my water bottle before leaving, and what do you know...? A woman was just carrying in the trays of leftovers from a meeting to share with the masses, and there laid a lovely assortment of delicious grilled vegetables! I am so lucky!!! Thanks for your wonderful words of inspiration. You uncannily hit it right on the nose again.”
—Marvelous Maureen

NICKI, A TASTE LIFE SUBSCRIBER WRITES:

“I just read over your latest newsletter and wanted to express my thanks for sharing your tips and suggestions. The lines about worry are so true (I should know, with all the time I spent worrying instead of making a decision about my job!). I did finally leave my job and John and I are going to move up to Portland and are very excited. Things are falling into place nicely and I feel like I'm starting to get back on track! I am very grateful for your help in starting me towards making some major changes. I hope you have a wonderful summer!”
—Nicki

TASTE LIFE BALANCE RECIPES OF THE MONTH

RED, WHITE and BLUE SALAD

I am always looking for easy quick fruit and veggie ideas for my family and the TASTE LIFE subscribers. We were having Gary and Lane Bendzick over to celebrate the 4th of July. I wanted a dish to celebrate the holiday and also wanted their comments on this unique combination. Gary Bendzick heard that I like recipes with 5 ingredients or less. He mentioned his favorite three ingredient recipe is watermelon, blueberries and grapes. Sounds good to me, Gary!

You can use any amounts of the ingredients—more watermelon or more blueberries. The amounts listed here are we made for the four of us.

Watermelon chunks, (2 one inch slices, chunked)
Blueberries, washed, drained, (1 cup)
Fresh mint, (about 9 stalks or cup chopped)
Fresh lime juice (1 lime)
Feta cheese, (1 ounce)

In a small serving bowl, combine watermelon, blueberries, fresh mint and lime juice.
Toss to coat. Garnish with feta cheese. Serve immediately.

We served this with spinach salad with strawberries, dried cranberries, blueberries and raspberry vinaigrette dressing; beer can chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, strawberry shortcake (everyone knows I always need a reason for whipped cream), and warm conversation.

ALLOW THE LUCK TO HAPPEN TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE

Last month I wrote about how lucky people expect luck and you get what you expect. If you think you are lucky, YOU ARE, PERIOD! Lucky people also have a big secret — they are willing to ALLOW the luck to have it.

Think of something you thought you wanted, like a job or possession. Maybe you thought you couldn’t have it. Maybe you thought you didn’t deserve it. Your reality became real based on your belief. “I can’t have it!” When you say this to yourself, of course you don’t get it.

When you change your thoughts (could sometimes be called “stinkin’ thinking”) and decide to allow it in your life, to believe that you can have it, you will receive it. Simple as that!

Your reality is a reflection of your thoughts. The more you are willing to allow yourself to have, the more you will get. Your thoughts determine your actions which determine your results.

Magic M has been a coaching client for 4 years. We discovered that one of her personal needs was to nurture. She decided she could not get her nurture need met as a research engineer. Through the MAPP assessment, Signature Strengths assessment and looking at her gifts she discovered what she wanted and got more than she ever expected!

Magic M writes:

“I want to shout to the world: if you expect more, the more you will get. I am truly grateful for my career as a senior research engineer. It gave me amazing experiences that only Magic M (that’s me!) can share with students. My career also let me know that I would never truly have my needs met (once I figured out what my needs were!) — the needs to nurture, achieve, and set standards.

The pivotal moment for me was when I had the opportunity to stand up in front of a classroom and tell junior high girls about the career of engineering. I LOVED being in front of them. It felt like I could almost feel the nurture in me reaching out and floating in the room. It seemed very natural for me to be up in front of the girls. I loved seeing the looks on their faces! It was several years later before I took the big step, but without that moment, I think I would have always been scared to take the step.

Over the past year, I have really tried to live a life full of attraction; Chere and I have been working on this for a while! I have been trying to attract things I want to happen to me, and with that mindset, things DID start coming to me. I didn’t know how I could be a teacher, but the how didn’t matter.

I just knew that my dream was to be a teacher!

Chere taught me how to let go of the “stinkin’ thinking” and just go for it! The “hows” started to fall into place. I found out about Teach TN (with only 48 hours left to apply and with a huge portfolio requirement and FIVE reference letters required), and I was accepted. I was told that I would never get the school system I wanted, and not only did I get in but got the exact job I wanted. I was scared to death that my bosses would hate me for leaving them, and they could not be more supportive of my decision (my director even told me how commendable it was to go for a dream!). I was terrified that my work required for Teach TN would not be acceptable, and the director said it was better than anything else she had seen. She told me I was ready to be a teacher! Wow!!! The “hows” worked out better than I could imagine.

I often say that my life is better than my dreams, and it really is true. There is no way I could have done this without expecting more and attracting more!!!! It was almost like an overnight experience; when I started expecting good things to happen to me, they did!

My thoughts were no longer full of the “shoulds” or “what ifs.” Chere showed me the path, and she helped me realize that all of this could happen!!! I am taking a big, fat, scary step in my life, but I know that I will never have to say that I regret not trying. It is really worth it to step out and take a chance!

I am the luckiest girl in the world!”
—Magic M

If you think you are lucky, you are! Allow your luck to make it the best year of your life. What are you waiting for? With much gratitude, Chere
