Last year on this day was my LAST DAY working for the state of Florida.  I can tell you that beyond a shadow of a doubt, this past year has been the best year of my life!   Last January I participated in a 30-day journal exercise.  I re-read those pages last week and it was amazing to discover that I found all that I was seeking – peace, quiet, freedom, happiness.  The “real me” has emerged once more and it feels so good.  I am selling more quilts. This is my favorite one.

Of course, I have the deepest gratitude to you for helping me do a 180.  It was slow, like turning a gigantic ship around, but bit by bit it happened.I keep the inspirational cards you sent me in my business contract folder.  They are daily reminders that I am on the right path for me.

What was best about last year?

It’s hard to answer what was best about last year because it was all so good!  I think one of the best moments was when one of my good friends from Iowa was visiting and she said, “Our old Connie is back!  We’ve missed your laughter!”  I now have a deep feeling of inner peace, freedom, and calm that I’ve never felt before.  Example:  I had a major leak in my bedroom due to some roof work done 2 years ago – wasn’t evident until we had torrential rains with 30 mile per hour winds for 24 hours.  The old Connie would have ranted and raved, been stressed out to the max, and distracted to no end by the mess and inconvenience.  The new Connie simply got it fixed and asked the previous contractor to make good on the repairs, which he did.  No drama.  I didn’t even realize I was so calm through the whole thing until I got a check in the mail for the repairs.  As another friend likes to say, “It’s ALL good!”
